Managed by Sea Shepherd Italy, Jairo Med is a campaign to protect endangered loggerhead sea turtles in the Mediterranean Sea. Volunteers on land monitor nesting beaches, while the SEa Eagle is patrolling the Tyrrhenian Sea to remove illegal fishing gear in cooperation with the Italian financial police (Guardia di Finanza).
