From July 1st the European Union will introduce a customs tax on small parcels in an attempt to curb cheap Chinese imports (Shein, Temu).

To help protect customers from unexpected customs duties and import charges, we’ve updated the Sea Shepherd Store so it shows products based on your location. If you’re shopping from mainland Europe, you’ll now see products that can be shipped from our EU stock in Prague. Orders from the UK and the rest of the world will continue to be shipped from the UK.

We’ve made this change because customs rules for small parcels entering the EU are changing on July 1st. For the last couple of years, customers have been able to buy up to €150 / £129 worth of goods from outside the EU without customs charges under the “de minimis” exemption. That exemption is now changing, meaning small parcels may be subject to a flat customs charge.

Most merchandise on www.seashepherdstore.com has historically shipped from the UK, which means orders placed from mainland Europe could become subject to import taxes or customs fees. By using location-based stock, we can make sure customers are shown the most appropriate products for where they are, helping avoid unexpected costs and keeping the shopping experience as smooth as possible.

A quick note on EU stock availability: We are currently in the final stages of replenishing and mapping our stock in Prague. Because of this, a few items might appear temporarily unavailable for EU customers over the next few days. This is a temporary transition, and we expect our core range of products to be fully available by next week.

If an item you want is currently showing as unavailable, please sign up for the "Back in Stock" notification on the product page so we can alert you when it lands. Please note that you can also visit our stores in Germany and Italy, in case you are looking for alternatives.
